Harry Potter Party Welcomes Fans of All Ages to Main Library Today

Fans of Harry Potter (portrayed in the film series by Daniel Radcliffe) are welcome to come together at the Main Library tonight.

Central Arkansas Library Systemis hosting a Harry Potter Party at 6:30 p.m. today (July 19) at the Main Library, 100 Rock St., Little Rock in conjunction with the traveling exhibit Harry Potter's World, which will be displayed through Aug. 11.

Admission is free.

The party will feature Harry Potter-related activities for children, teens, and adults on each of the five floors of the library. Partygoers of all ages can be sorted into Hogwarts houses, earn house points, watch Quidditch players, make wands, play trivia games or wizards' chess, or cast spells.

Harry Potter character costumes are encouraged.

The Harry Potter page on the CALS website gives an overview of the exhibit. Prose Garden, the library's cafe on the Main Library's fifth floor, will offer Harry Potter items during the party, including Bertie Botts Every Flavor Smoothie and Rock Cakes.
